Deleting his words she wrote, I don’t care. They do something I will stop them! She gave him his mobile phone back, rolling her eyes muttering “Stupid children of the night..” Katerina stopped in her tracks, she could whisper, there was literally coming words out of her mouth. Finally! Shewas looking at Gerardo, wondering if he heard it and immediately there was a grin on her face.
Gerard looked up at the shadowhunter halfway in responding to her, surprised as he actually heard what she had said but angered by the words.
“You are quick to assume the wrong in people, shadowhunter, just because my clan had the opportunity doesn’t mean they will always take it. Of course if I had known about this sooner I probably would have told the to go out and paint the town red but alas…” He tried to sound intimidating but he was forced to whisper and it didn’t really have the same effect.
After reading the words she throw the phone back, looking at him with an expression that said. ‘Or what?’ She stood there confidently not caring if someone of his clan would get hurt, if they break the law they had to face the consequences.
Gerard merely raised an eyebrow at the shadowhunter I’m sure you have a vivd imagination. Use it. He typed out tossing the phone. He watched Katerina assessing her, he was sure she try and put ul a good fight even if he had been thinking of doing what she was accusing. But he hadn’t so he wasn’t too bothered.
Kat took the phone raising an eyebrow as she looked at him. It is if they’re going to abuse this situation tonight to go out and create chaos. No one would be able to hear a thing, that’s quite tempting, isn’t it? She gave him back his phone, crossing her arms with a serious expression on her face. A few would definitely abuse this and Katerina would stop it, maybe not everyone but everyone she could catch.
Taking the phone Gerard eyebrows rose as he read the text, as he typed out his response his eyes narrowed in anger. Watch what you say, little shadowhunter. Giving Katerina the phone he took a step back annoyed by the shadowhunter’s suggestion.
She grabbed the phone and typed. I know don’t judge me I realized that just at the same time as you that it is day time but I need to check out something real quick. Stay there, don’t move! You have a clan, right? The shadowhunter climbed up the latter to the attic, walking up the stairs to the flat roof, and was quite happy to get some fresh air. Standing at the ceiling she looked down, seeing nothing, everything moved but she heard nothing. This was a great oppurtunity for those who rebell especially for kills tonight. She had to get a few people with her to get on a patrol tonight before something happened but so far there was nothing so many of them couldn’t have noticed by now and if it was going to be a horror night for everyone.
Going back quickly she jumped down the latter next to Gerardo, looking at him with crossed arms. She had to tell him, if he had a clan and she would dare to touch his clan members if they did anything tonight.
Gerard rolled his eyes but waited patiently as the shadowhunter inspected the roof, it was now that he realised the dangers of being mute. He relied to heavily on his hearing and it was gone he was virtually redundant, he couldn’t do anything if someone snuck up on him. With that recognition he now understood what Katerina was doing, checking for any potential attacker though what his clan had to do with it was beyond him. He was here in the Institute and they wouldn’t come unless he called and certainly not in daylight. When Katerina returned he passed her his phone with the message already typed out My clan are none of your concern. He showed her the message raising an eyebrow.
Katerina started to laugh or at least wanted but somehow it didn’t work. she shook her head and typed in what she wanted to say. I don’t know why, probably because you for once can hear you thoughts clear and no one can disturb you with stupid advices. Anyway, you’re on my side to find out what happened? The phone handed back to him, she got up and looked down on him. Then Katerina realized something, if there was no sound, not only in the Institute but whole New York, then this was the perfect opportunity for downworlders to strike, at least for those who are against the shadowhunters. “Damn it!“ She cursed out loud, but nothing was to be heard. Kat mentioned him to follow her as she made her way quickly to the top of the Insitute, the flat roof, to have look around but she forgot one thing. It was day time.
Gerard grabbed his phone quickly reading the message, when done he nodded to the shadowhunter to tell her that whatever the plan he was in. Not like he had anything else to do anyway. He tilted his head slightly at her sudden anger wondering what she had realised. He followed her almost cautiously as she stormed up through the Institute and when he realised where she was taking him he sighed impatiently knowing the sun was still up. Gerard walked near to the periphery of the door glaring at the sunlight, although the sun wasn’t up very high, as long as it was up he was stuck inside. He looked over at Katerina expectantly wondering what she was doing and/or wanted him to do.
Kat rolled her eyes, before she took the phone, reading what he wrote. She slowly nodded, typing in a message.
I have no idea either, but it’s really fascinating how this is possible. Though it’s I would love to know who is behind this!
She handed him back his phone pulling up her knees to place her arms up on them, her head leaned against the wall, looking at the dark ceiling. It had something nice, this silence. First of all people couldn’t annoy her and would maybe leave her alone and second, she could think about quite a few things. With a sigh she turned her head towards Gerardo, looking at him.
Gerard snorted at Katerina’s response and began typing furiosly when she handed the phone back to him How you find this fascinating is beyond me, but it would be good to know who did this and how. Chucking the phone back he ducked his head drawing swirling patterns in the light dust on the floor as he waited her response.
He wondered what his clan was doing, if they were out on the town or having a night in bickering amongst one another. Maybe watching TV or playing on the game system he had… acquired for them, either way he figured they were having more fun then he was at the moment.
Katerina woke up early today, brushed her teeth and comb her hair, ready to put on her gear to go to train. Opening the cupboard where it was in, she already saw Church laying spread all over her clothes. “How ma—“ Katerina stopped immediately after she couldn’t hear a sound. She didn’t even realize that she didn’t hear the water splatter. Again, she tried. ”Church…“ Her lips moved but there wasn’t one sound.
Quickly she put on her gear, trying to get rid of the cat hair as she walked right out of the room not looking what was happening out there as she ran right into on person and landed on the ground. But there was nothing to hear, not a no noise from the ground, no swearing, no nothing.
Kat had no idea what was going on as she looked up at the person in front of her. She pointed at her throat, praying the person would understand what she meant.
Gerard was walking down the corridor when someone bumped into him, he stumbled back but caught himself but he fell off “Watch where you’re going.” He called out before remembering that he couldn’t speak or make any noise whatsoever.
He shrugged in response to Kat’s question, he had no idea what the hell was going on, he had been trying to find someone who did. Grabbing his phone from his pocket he typed It seems like the whole place is on mute but no really knows how or why.
He sat down next to the shadowhunter and passed over his phone so she could see what he had typed.
