Luke laughed along, pocketing his coin. Good puns meant good times and good memories. Often, people’s first impression of him was firm, quiet and unsociable. He hoped the pun would change that.

“Hello, Gerardo!” he exclaimed. “I’m glad you liked the pun I thought of. I agree, it is very funny.” 

“Nice to see another new face. Where are you from?”

“Nice to meet you too.” Gerardo held out his hand which he didn’t normally do but he thought that since Luke was being nice he might as well. Plus it wouldn’t hurt to know a werewolf who he could actually get along with.  “Italy, Rome to be exact although my mother was Spanish.”
